From August 1986 - August 1997, Fr. Daniel Keller was our Priest at Holy Spirit Orthodox Church, and he stressed the importance of the parish as a true community of believers. The parish's services were expanded with daily Vespers and several all-night vigils, making it necessary to renovate and double in size. In 1997, he went onto another parish in Texas and served as Priest there until he retired.
After his retirement, he moved back to Huntington, WV, and continued his ministry in leading our weekly Bible Study, and when able, filled in for Father John Dixon when he was out of town.
A few days before Thanksgiving 2025, Fr Daniel Keller suffered a stroke, and after a few weeks of decline, he reposed at Cabell Huntington Hospital on January 5, 2026 in Huntington, WV. Services are scheduled for Thursday evening and Friday morning. Additional information will be added here and o our Facebook group as soon as announced.
